Highland Park Brings Joy to Residents with Horses During Nursing Home Week!

Highland Park Care Center has been "Celebrating the Journey" with our residents, staff, families, and community members during National Nursing Home Week. We were blessed to be able to host some special visitors for our residents: "Buddy" and "Magnum", two beautiful and friendly horses.
Resident Bob Burgess, a 2008 inductee into the Nebraska Sandhills Cowboy Hall of Fame befriended "Buddy" during National Nursing Home Week's Cowboy Day. Bob shared, "A horse is truly a man's best friend."3rd Annual Highland Park Parade of Elegance a Success!

For 3 years now Alliance High School students have stopped by to show off their prom attire prior to attending the dance. The residents are always looking forward to seeing the students in their formal attire. The residents LOVE to have the girls (and sometimes guys) show off their unique and beautiful choice of shoes. The residents always look forward to having the students that also serve as team members at Highland Park come in for this event and have a picture with them.
We had 42 residents excitedly awaiting the student arrivals; our biggest event yet! We are proud to say that Whitney Wills from Highland Park Care Center's dietary department won the title of Prom Queen!Care Conversations make difficult decisions easier
