Training & Development

In-Depth Orientation

New team members will enjoy an in-depth orientation which includes the mission, vision and values of Vetter Health Services and our facility, training in all aspects of long term care, Resident Rights, Life Enrichment, Dementia, Care Plans, hospitality, and more!

Take Time To Care

The Take Time To Care program instructs and inspires team members to provide quality care for our elderly.

Take Time To Care is offered to all team members. It is designed to enhance team member relationships, build teams, help people utilize listening skills to understand residents as well as see the resident as a “whole” person, and to help team members enjoy life by caring for themselves.

Continuing Education

On a monthly basis we provide training and development at our all staff inservice which is designed to recognize our great team members and to provide continuing education. Team members are also encouraged to participate in outside training opportunities that will enhance the quality of our services and our ability to provide the finest environment and care for our residents.

Department Supervisor Conferences

Department Supervisors are invited to a two day conference in Omaha sponsored by Vetter Health Services at least once every 18 months. These conferences are designed to supplement the on-going training that is provided at the facility to encourage continual growth and learning.
